Nigeria and the European Association sign agreement for economic cooperation
Nigeria has just signed with the European Association of Free Exchange (EFTA) countries and a joint declaration of economic cooperation in the areas of trade and investment, indicates a statement transmitted to PANA.
This joint declaration, an instrument of economic cooperation between the two parties, was signed on the sidelines of the 11th ministerial conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO) that occurs at present in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The document has to do also with the collaboration in the implementation of a framework to facilitate the increased trade and flow of investments whose implementation is entrusted to a joint committee will be charged by your implementation.
The areas of cooperation include trade in goods and services, tariffs, customs, sustainable development, investment, protection of intellectual property rights, the digital economy and other areas of cooperation mutually identified by both parties.
The EFTA is an intergovernmental organisation that groups together Ireland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Switzerland, with the mission to promote free trade and cooperation among member countries and others in Europe or elsewhere in the world.
