The World bank doubled its financial support to Mali
The World Bank (WB) has doubled its commitments in favour of Mali, raising them to $ 300 million to 600 million in the next three years, announced Thursday in Bamako, the its director, the local, Soukeyna Kane.
At the end of a hearing that granted the prime minister, malian, Soumeylou Boubeye), Soukeyna Kane indicated that the key sectors covered by this help of the BM are the governance, the resilience of the populations and the reduction of poverty, as well as the diversification of the national economy.
“Our goal is to support Mali in these key sectors,” said Kane, noting the performance of the economy maliana that reinforces in spite of the difficulties of the moment, with a growth rate of 5.7 in 2017.
In their view, these macroeconomic indicators of Mali are good considering the context of the insecurity prevailing in Mali, mainly in the north.
